As a Premier Cricket Club, the Glenelg District Cricket Club provides the opportunity for talented players in the surrounding district community clubs to access the Cricket Australia development pathway. The GDCC seeks to develop talented boys and girls to contribute to the long-term success of the club and beyond to the elite level. We take pride in our custodianship of the ‘Spirit-of-Cricket’ and playing ‘The Glenelg Way’. We are a community-based sporting organisation, committed to the development and promotion of cricket within the City of Holdfast Bay and our South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) nominated country areas; Mt Gambier – Chappell/Whitty Academy.
We provide opportunities for boys and girls in the following competitions
SACA Premier Cricket junior competitions; Under 14 Reds and Whites and Under 16 Reds and Whites
SACA U/12 Shield
SACA U/17 Shield
SACA Ray Sutton Shield (Primary School)
Glenelg Junior Cricket Academy (U12)
SACA 2nd Grade Women’s competition for girls (blended age groups)
Redback Futures League, State and National representation
