Announcing New Playing Life Membership Criteria The GDCC Board have approved a new level of life membership for long serving players. To receive playing life membership, a player will need to have either played 100 1st Grade games or 200 games in total in any grade(s). Currently the Club is going through past records to ascertain who qualifies under these new guidelines. A new Honour Board is to be installed in the Club rooms, with names of all who have qualified inscribed.
The Silver Seahorses are the Glenelg District Cricket club Past Players, Officials and Volunteers Association (PPOVA).
The four major objectives of the Silver Seahorses are as follows:
1. To encourage and bring together past players, officials and volunteers for social functions from time to time
2. To maintain and build a strong relationship between past and present players, officials and volunteers.
3. To encourage past players to become more active within the club.
4. To raise money for worthy causes at the Glenelg Cricket Club.
