VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR THIS SEASON 2010-11
Volunteers, provide magnificent support to the club for both the playing and social aspects that we all enjoy. We MUST add greater depth to our Volunteer data base as too often many of the tasks around the club are done by 'too few'. The danger of overloading our helpers needs to be addressed.
For example, over the past few seasons the lunches for the A and B Grade home games have been handled by the SAME 2 or 3 ladies - but if we can find another 4 or 5 (or more) willing helpers it could mean that each will only have to be available for 1 or 2 games throughout the season - NOT EVERY GAME. We are now calling on anyone with some connection with the club to get involved - players (past and present) wives, girlfriends, mothers, fathers, brothers, and other family members are all encouraged to get involved, as are those players who may have recently retired from the game but still want to retain an interest in the club.

NEW TO THE CLUB?
Parents and family of new players (junior and senior) to the club are particularly encouraged to become involved. There are many duties available for you to volunteer your help.
Read the roles below and contact the nominated person to volunteer your services if you can help in that particular area – IT’S VERY REWARDING!

GLIDEROL STADIUM
Team Managers - are responsible for team support for home games. They are responsible to be available to open the clubrooms for all players prior to match commencement, place cones around the oval before the game, provide drinks at all scheduled drinks breaks and ensure all equipment is securely locked down following the game. It is a full day commitment and there are other 'minor duties' which have to be performed also. If you are also available for away games, the duties are simply as a player support because the Home team is responsible for the supply of change facilities, afternoon teas and drinks.

If you would like to discuss these roles further or have any questions please contact:
Sally Niehuus-Hayes 0412295899 sallyniehuus@optusnet.com.au
